September Pain Awareness Month: Three Factors That May Be Keeping You in Pain

Pain is rarely just one thing
Persistent pain can affect much more than one part of the body. It may change how you sleep, exercise, work, and participate in the activities that matter to you. During Pain Awareness Month, MC2 Health & Wellness is highlighting three areas that may influence ongoing pain and the practical steps that can help you move forward.
1. Posture and joint restrictions
Long hours at a desk, frequent phone use, repetitive work, and previous injuries can change how the body moves. Muscles may begin compensating for stiff or restricted joints, and everyday tasks can become uncomfortable.
The first step is an individual evaluation. We look at posture, movement, regional mobility, muscular balance, and the activities that bring on symptoms. When appropriate, chiropractic adjustments can help restore motion to restricted joints. Massage therapy, soft-tissue work, or shockwave therapy may also be used to address tight, irritated, or chronically overloaded tissues.
2. Inflammation and recovery habits
Sleep, stress, nutrition, and physical activity can influence recovery and pain sensitivity. A pattern of poor sleep, chronic stress, and heavily processed foods may make it harder for the body to recover.
That is why an integrated plan may include realistic nutrition changes, sleep and stress strategies, and targeted supplementation when it is appropriate for the individual.
For September, we are featuring CurcuPlex-95, Omega MonoPure 1300 EC, and OptiMag Neuro at 10% off through September 30. These professional-grade products are commonly used to support a healthy inflammatory response, joint comfort, omega-3 status, muscle relaxation, stress management, nervous-system function, and sleep quality. Supplements are not necessary for everyone, so talk with our team before adding them to your routine.
3. Core stability and mobility
When stabilizing muscles are not doing their job or key areas such as the hips, spine, or shoulders are not moving well, the body may compensate. Those compensations can make work, exercise, and daily movement more difficult.
Corrective exercise is the part of care that helps turn short-term improvement into better long-term function. A personalized program may include core strengthening, hip and spine mobility, posture practice, and gradual exposure to the activities you want to return to.
The MC2 Pain Reset approach
Our goal is not to apply the same treatment to every person. We start by evaluating how you move and identifying the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. From there, care may include chiropractic adjustments, massage or soft-tissue work, shockwave therapy, corrective exercise, functional-medicine support, or a combination of approaches.
For Pain Awareness Month, the September Pain Reset Package includes a consultation, examination, and your first treatment selected to fit your needs.
If pain has been limiting your exercise, sleep, work, or favorite activities, September is a good time to start working on a plan. Call 847-234-2346 or schedule online at https://mc2health.intakeq.com/booking.
